How to choose a UNIVERSAL GUARD-CAP

UNIVERSAL GUARD-CAPS are intended to be held in place by the retainer ridge in the I.D. of the cap. When choosing a UNIVERSAL GUARD-CAP as a flange protector, select a cap with a MAJOR I.D. (A) near to BUT SLIGHTLY LARGER THAN the outside diameter of the flange to be covered; otherwise, select a cap with a MINOR I.D. (B) near to BUT SLIGHTLY SMALLER THAN the outside diameter of the part to be covered.
